Dr. Minhaj Rahim Choudhury currently working as Professor, Department of Rheumatology, Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He joined in the University in 2003, before that he served as Assistant Professor & Associate Professor in Shaheed Suhrawardi Hospital and Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka from 1999 to 2003. He worked as clinical and research fellow in The Royal Free Hospital, University College and Medical School, Hampstead heath, U.K in 2002. He became of American College of Rheumatology in 2006.
Prof. Choudhury served as Resident physician (Medicine) from 1996-1998. He did his MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College in 1984. He obtained MD in 1995 and FCPS in 1996.
Prof. Choudhury now serving as General Secretary of Bangladesh Rheumatology Society. He has authored and co-authored of numerous scientific articles in national and international journals, and presented several scientific papers in home and abroad. He attended several basic and advanced Musculoskeletal ultrasound courses in USA, Hongkong, Malaysia and Philippines organized and accredited by American college of rheumatology (ACR), European league against rheumatism (EULAR) and Asia Pacific league of association for rheumatology (APLAR). He also completed EULAR Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course.
Prof Choudhury also organized 03 Musculoskelatal Ultrasound courses in 2014, 2015 and 2016 in Dhaka, Bangladesh and was a speaker and trainer along with Prof George AW Bruyn of The Netherland, Prof Wolfgang Schmidt of Germany, Prof Ingrid Moller of Spain and Dr Zunaid Karim Of Ireland
