Associate Professor Maureen Rischmueller is a Consultant Rheumatologist at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and University of Adelaide, South Australia. She has an interest in the pathogenesis and treatment of primary Sjogren’s syndrome, and other autoimmune disorders. She is a member of the EULAR Sjogren’s Syndrome Taskforce Study Group and the International Sjogren’s Syndrome Genetics Consortium, and enjoys active collaborations with colleagues at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and Monash University. She heads a large clinical trials unit, conducting trials in Sjogren’s syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthropathy, and polymyalgia rheumatica. She has co-authored more than 100 papers published in international journals, and contributes to peer review processes for the National Health and Medical Research Council and Australian Medical Council.
