Linda completed her nurse training in London. After working in general medicine, surgery, and intensive care, she specialized in rheumatology. From 1998, she worked at the University of Oxford with Professor Matthew Brown. In 2005, she moved to Brisbane and with Professor Brown established the AS clinic at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. She also co-ordinates research programmes within his group at the Queensland University of Technology and has over 35 publications.
She completed her MSc in Advanced Health Care Practice in 2006, her Nurse Practitioner Masters in 2012, became endorsed as the first Australian Rheumatology NP in May 2013 and is currently the president of the Rheumatology Health Professionals Special Interest Group of the ARA.
